San Diego is a beautiful coastal city located in southern California, known for its perfect weather, stunning beaches, and a rich cultural heritage. It’s a perfect destination for those looking for a relaxing getaway or for those seeking some adventure.

If you are in Los Angeles, then this is a perfect day trip for you as it is located just two hours away by car. We did a day trip so could cover only a few places but I have given a few more in case you plan to stay longer.

Here are the top 8 things to see in San Diego:

1. Balboa Park: Balboa Park is one of the largest urban parks in the country and is home to several museums, gardens, and theaters. It’s a perfect place to spend a day exploring the park, visiting museums, enjoying a picnic or attending a concert.

2. San Diego Zoo: San Diego Zoo is one of the most famous zoos in the world, and is a must see attraction is you are travelling with family and kids. The zoo is famous for its giant pandas, polar bears, and koalas. Keep one day aside as its big and you will have to walk alot. The balloon safari inside the zoo is a great way to see aerial views of the zoo.

3. Coronado Beach: Coronado Beach is a beautiful white sand beach that’s perfect for a day of relaxation, sunbathing, and swimming. It’s also a great place to watch the sunset or go for a romantic walk.

4. USS Midway Museum: The USS Midway Museum is located on the decommissioned aircraft carrier, USS Midway. The museum offers a unique opportunity to explore the history of the US Navy and to see firsthand what life was like on a naval vessel. You can even hop on some of the aircrafts, helicopters and fighter jets which is the best thing.
